Originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, I settled into the DC area in August, 2001 after my undergraduate work at SUNY Geneseo. I was privileged to be a classroom teacher, grades 3 and 5, in Alexandria City for five years. I graduated with a Masters in Educational Administration from GWU in 2006 (with Mr. Baxter!) and began my work as a school administrator in Alexandria for the past two years.
My husband and I have two fabulous dogs, Hudson and Elway (I was born in Denver, GO BRONCOS!)and they keep us entertained and busy. I am an avid runner and can't wait to run the W&OD trail to MEHMS from my home in South Arlington. This is my second year as the Assistant Principal of MEHMS. We have such a wonderful school and I love being a part of it!
